Bamboo Flooring Maintenance Guide:


What to do:
- Avoid nails, rocks and such that may be stuck on the bottom causing scratches and indentions.
- Clean floor using a lightly damp mop with a non-toxic floor cleaner specially designed for hardwood floors.
- Regularly dust floors with a mop, soft bristle broom or vacuum soft attachment to keep dirt and soil off.
- Remove any spillage or dirt immediately.
- For any foodstuff or spills that occur, use a soft cloth with very light water then dry.
- If you use wood cleaners that require water, make sure you follow the instructions exactly.
- Scuff marks from shoes may be removed with a soft cloth & a wood floor cleaner by rubbing carefully.
- It is recommended to remove high-heel shoes before walking on Bamboo Floors like other hardwood floors.
- Place a walk off mat at all exterior entrances to catch any dirt prior to reaching the Bamboo Floor.
- On any high traffic pathways, use an area rug that is colorfast and won't scratch floor.
- Use mats in your high spillage rooms such as kitchen, bath or utility rooms.
- Make sure you keep all area rugs clean and remove periodically to prevent scratching and fading of floor.
- It is best to place furniture protectors under furniture and make sure they displace weight evenly.
- For furniture wheels, use only hardened plastic with at least 2 inch width depending on the weight.
- Always safely pick up and move furniture with appropriate help.
- Keep pet claws trimmed to help with scratching.
- Control the humidity levels in you floor between 30-50% humidity.
- Also do not dry out below 20% either, to maintain the integrity of your new floor.

What not to do:
- Do not let any liquids, including cleaner, to stay on floor longstanding.
- Do not let sand and grime build up.
- Make sure not to use a vacuum with a beater bar on the floor.
- Do not use a wet mop or sponge on the floor due to excess water will swell and cup floor.
- Never wax your Bamboo floor.
- Never slide furniture across floor.
- Do not use steel wool or any other rough scouring pads.
